Repsol allow Angola to use its technology to find oil

LONDON, 6 May. (EUROPA PRESS) -

Repsol allow Angolan state oil company Sonangol use your own Kaleidoscope, internationally recognized as one of the most advanced technologies in the search for hydrocarbons, to explore for pre-salt resources in the African country.

The agreement between the Spanish oil and Angolan engineers allow the second use a tool capable of providing accurate subsurface seismic image, whose use has enabled Repsol make important discoveries in Brazil and in the Gulf of Mexico:

“We will give you the information and knowledge, and train your staff”, explicó a ‘Financial Times’ one of the leaders of the technology division of Repsol, Santiago Quesada Garmendia. A total of 27 Angolan company engineers will be trained.
